10 Tracks by Ticklah

Maybe his name won’t tell you much but my today’s guest for the 10 Tracks series is certainly involved in some music you’ve already listened to as among its most impressive collaborations are peoples like Amy Winehouse, Nas or Femi Kuti… Many of those appearences and performances are under his birth name, Victor Axelrod, but he is and will stay for me the one and only Ticklah, one of the best dub producer nowadays and keyboard of one of the biggest Afrobeat band, including the Budo’s Band : I mean Antibalas ! Yes Papa !

Remaining in references, and even if I know it sounds a bit like name dropping , how can I not mention he’s an active member of Easy Star All-Stars (remember Dub Side of the Moon ?) and has his own radio in GTA ?

In order to have a good and quick overview of  his productions, I’d recommend to try “Paris DJs Soundsystem presents Ticklah”, that in addition to a more professional presentation than mine, will give you a great insight into his collaborations, remixes and work during the last years. It can’t leave you insensible !
