Brown & Shiny Facts Vol.4

Jazz Hip-Hop

Once you’ll get in the mood after listening this Jazz Hip-Hop selection, I highly recommend you go watch Stolen Moments: Red Hot + Cool This superb documentary, broadcasted on TV in tandem with the eponymous album release in 1994, aims to raise awareness about the ravages of AIDS upon the African-American community. Behind this initiative stands the Red Hot Organization, well-known to fights AIDS through musical project like Red Hot + Riot, which has chosen for this occasion to gather renowned jazz performers and contemporary Hip-Hop artists. Guru, Ron Carter, the Roots, Roy Ayers, Donald Byrd… The casting is amazing, the direction alternating testimonies and live music scene is a real success and the whole thing smacks Jazz. Real Jazz.

    Salut,
